Dezi Singh, Vice President, Labour Relations and Human Resources at Maple Leaf Foods has 8 years of experience in the food industry reporting directly to the SVP, People. Prior to joining Maple Leaf, he has held various strategic roles at three (3) large, complex, public and private organizations (Canada Post, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, CIBC) where he has driven best practices in all aspects of human resources and labour relations. As well, Dezi is currently an adjunct professor at York University in the field of human resources, specializing in industrial relations, compensation and health and safety and also developed and instructed a negotiation course at George Brown College. Dezi is a dedicated, loyal, values consistent leader and is a trusted strategic partner to the Senior Executive Team who has won many awards throughout his career; Musketeer award (2017), Teaching Excellence award (2017), CEO/COO award (2021). He has a proven track record of leading and developing high performing teams and has excelled in working with stakeholders to deliver results/optimize business performance. Dezi has inspired many team members across the organization as he leads by example to advocate and do what is in the best interest of the company and its stakeholders. Dezi holds a Master of Industrial Relations from Queen's University and an Honours Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business (York University) and is fluent in both English and French with intermediate knowledge of spanish.
